About Steel Academy

The Steel Academy is a free public, nonprofit, community school for students in grades 9 through 12 who learn differently. Many of our students have learning disabilities caused by ADHD, Asperger’s or other disorders on the Autism spectrum. All struggle to learn in mainstream educational systems. We inspire students through unique teaching methods that encourage lifelong learning and open doors to the future.

The Steel Academy is governed by Steel Academy, Inc. and operated by The Educational Empowerment Group. Accredited and sponsored by the Ohio Department of Education.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Steel Academy is to inspire all students including those with learning differences by maximizing their educational experience through the integration of academics with the visual and performing arts.
